yo yo yo! Happy Monday and Happy Veteran’s Day. Last night, I was definitely asleep by 8:30 PM. I am not sure why, but I was so exhausted. Needless to say, I woke up this morning full of energy. I went to a spin class, and I am pretty sure I pedaled faster than I ever have before; my poor legs. I just checked my schedule for the week, and had a mini panic attack. I have a commitment everyday after work this week, and that stresses me out a bit. I need at least one (or two, preferably) nights
As I mentioned last week in this post, I always get a bit sentimental when someone I have known for the majority of my life fills out one of these Career Confidentials. This week’s is no different because I have probably known Rachel since middle school, maybe even elementary school? When someone I grew up with in San Antonio does the Q&A, it is interesting to me because we essentially started life I am terrible with money. When it comes to my spending habits, I have a major “YOLO” attitude; if buying something brings me joy in that moment, then I am all about it. My mentality has always been I work super hard for my money, and you can’t take it with you when you are gone, so why not spending, right?! WRONG. Each month, I always make enough to pay all my expensive, but instead of, saving the rest, I find more things to buy. Between my daily iced coffees, frequent “just because” shopping sprees, and weekly happy hours with By looking at me, you probably wouldn’t guess that I am actually pretty athletic. Last year, I completely my first half marathon (in SF) and I usually workout about 5-6 times a week. I don’t necessarily workout for physical reasons; instead, I hit the gym for my own mental sanity. If I don’t exercise, I become the Wicked Witch of the West. My hour a day at the gym is my happy time, with no texts, e-mails, social media etc. I love spinning, and I would do that everyday if I could. However, my legs need a break sometimes, so Every time I have a random thought, I always want to rush to blog about it. It is kind of annoying because I can’t concentrate on anything else until I released my feelings through a blog post. I spend a lot of time consuming media, and this week, I noticed the headlines about Lululemon’s founder blaming his see-thru pants debacle on the shape of certain women’s bodies. I also noticed the stuff about Abercrombie now offering clothes in sizes larger than 10 (I am not going to WALK, but RUN to my nearest Abercrombie to stock up!!); yes, after their I am on my way to a meeting with a local magazine, so this is going to be quick. However, I wanted to share my outfit because it sorta sums up my entire personal style. I hate wearing color, I love over-sized comfortable pieces, and then I always have a “pop” or statement piece.
Here at NeonNotebook we are all about demystifying life’s greatest mysteries. There is nothing more mysterious than texts from a boy that you are sorta dating. I know, I am not the only one that spends an embarrassing amount of time over-analyzing texts. Luckily, we have, Katie Amey, our in-house Cosmo UK writer to answer all our dating questions, and we have decided to conduct a very scientific social experiment. Katie and I picked 5 of the most common, generic texts that all girls over-analyze. Yes, we can read what he said in black and I really wanted to take this pic to show you how good my hair looks today LOL. Everyone knows that day after hair is hot. If you style your hair one day, and then don’t wash it the next and add baby powder, voilà you get sexy, messy hair! As I was putting this post up, I got a little bit emotional. I love reading all the Career Confidentials, but I especially love reading the ones from my friends. These are topics we don’t always spend a lot of time talking about, so I always find their answers to be so interesting and insightful. More than Today, I am going to Texas State University to do a guest lecture in one of the PR classes. This is my all time favorite thing in the world to do. It is so fun getting to meet everyone! For some reason, I had a really hard time sleeping last night, so even though I am super excited about my day, I am exhausted (thanks to 6 AM Starbucks run, I am feeling better). Thus, when I was deciding what I wanted to wear, I knew I was going to be as lazy as possible. Since I have to walk |
