November 16, 2013 by Rebekah in ETC., Fashion MAJOR Fashion Tip: If you see a 40% off sign in the window of Gap, go in! That usually means you can get 40% off of sale items too. I normally don’t go for color, but when I saw this shirt, and it was less than $8, I couldn’t resist.
Even though, we had a brief stint of arctic temperatures the last few days, I am happy to report it is back to being in the 80s! Whoo!!
Yes or no to the lip color? As I said

November 16, 2013 by Rebekah in ETC., Lifestyle Most people probably don’t think fashion and food go together, but in my world, they are my two greatest loves. Thus, I have decided that it makes sense to start doing a regular column called, “What I Ate”. When it comes to food, I am pretty much down for anything from gourmet to gross (I am never above Taco Bell or Dominos).
One of the greatest things about living in Austin is the food, so I am going to try to use these posts to highlight all the local spots. However, I can’t deny that I love a good meal

November 15, 2013 by Rebekah in ETC., Fashion I just wanted to check in and do a quick post today to say Happy Friday! I hope everyone has a fun filled weekend planned. Do something fabulous!! I am definitely looking forward to hanging out with some good friends this weekend.
I have been turning everyone I know into my own personal photographer to do these outfit post. I know, its probably annoying, but I will love you all forever. Shout out and photo credit to Michele Anderson for taking these awesome pics. You probably did know that coming to visit me, would require work. THANK YOU!!

While I love fashion, beauty is not my thing at all. I have pretty much been wearing my hair and make up the same way since I was in middle school (probably time for an upgrade). Unlike most of my friends, I never really get that excited when Mac comes out with a wild new lip color or Dior introducing their latest and greatest in mascara technology. Confession: I buy most of my beauty products at Target or at the drugstore; going to Sephora is my version of torture.
Even though I have no patience to learn more

November 13, 2013 by Rebekah in ETC., Fashion There are things that I just love in life: iced coffee, my dog, Harry Styles, reality TV, spinning and leather clothing (not in some kinky S&M way). If I could afford it, I would own leather pants, skirts, shirts, gym shorts (yes, they exist!), overalls, etc…you get the picture. Right now, I have leather pants and skirts, and if it were cooler outside, I would wear them everyday.
In my opinion, nothing makes you look more chic and put together than leather. For all the haters that say leather is only for skinny people, fuck off.
I decided

November 12, 2013 by Rebekah in ETC., Lifestyle Okay, so it is cold today for Austin standards: 54 degrees and it is supposed to get colder! Brrr. I love it when it gets cold because it is opportunity to bust out some of my old jackets.
I know you are probably tired of only looking at me, so Mallorie (my awesome and fashionable intern) also shows off her “cold” weather duds.
Awww I know, we are cute! Just ignore that my hair is doing something crazy…thanks, wind!

November 12, 2013 by Rebekah in ETC., Lifestyle As you saw before, my old NYC roommate, Alix Altit, made this awesome video with a healthy drink recipe. Now, she has created another video with a really great idea for an easy, healthy dinner…and I mean really easy…it takes her about 5 minutes to make the meal.
I know, I really hate cooking, mostly because I hate cleaning up the dishes after. I need more recipes like this in my life!
Here is a break down of her recipe:
Left over, plain roasted chicken with a spoonful of mustard or mayo Chopped up vegetables of any

November 11, 2013 by Rebekah in ETC., Fashion yo yo yo! Happy Monday and Happy Veteran’s Day.
Last night, I was definitely asleep by 8:30 PM. I am not sure why, but I was so exhausted. Needless to say, I woke up this morning full of energy. I went to a spin class, and I am pretty sure I pedaled faster than I ever have before; my poor legs.
I just checked my schedule for the week, and had a mini panic attack. I have a commitment everyday after work this week, and that stresses me out a bit. I need at least one (or two, preferably) nights

As I mentioned last week in this post, I always get a bit sentimental when someone I have known for the majority of my life fills out one of these Career Confidentials. This week’s is no different because I have probably known Rachel since middle school, maybe even elementary school? When someone I grew up with in San Antonio does the Q&A, it is interesting to me because we essentially started life

November 10, 2013 by Rebekah in ETC., Lifestyle I am terrible with money.
When it comes to my spending habits, I have a major “YOLO” attitude; if buying something brings me joy in that moment, then I am all about it. My mentality has always been I work super hard for my money, and you can’t take it with you when you are gone, so why not spending, right?! WRONG.
Each month, I always make enough to pay all my expensive, but instead of, saving the rest, I find more things to buy. Between my daily iced coffees, frequent “just because” shopping sprees, and weekly happy hours with
