Next up, red shoes + a flannel! The perfect outfit for a casual Sunday afternoon.
I have no idea what is happening in this picture; don’t even ask.

Happy Wednesday! Keep on plugging away, and being fabulous, Friday will be here soon enough. This awesome clutch (another amazing thrift store find) is my pop of red for Day 3. If you can take away one thing from my red, white and black series, it should be that you can find your best statement pieces at thrift stores. I sorta hate the word, “plus size”, not because I am oblivious to the fact that I am considered plus size, but it has such a negative connotation. And there really aren’t any better synonyms. Curvy? Uh, no thanks, that doesn’t sound better. So, let’s just say this post is for those of us that aren’t a size 2. If you haven’t noticed from my excessive amounts of “What I Wore” posts lately, I am on a fashion rampage. I might be feeling a wee bit nostalgic for my days at Vogue and People’s Revolution. I miss the sense of Another day, another pop of red. I am totally obsessed (get excited because we have 3 more days of this!). This skirt is another wonderful thrift store find (also, see red blazer awesomeness). I have worn some variation of this outfit to many interviews and business meetings. Admittedly, I should probably be wearing Spanx with this skirt, but I didn’t realize it till after the pics were already taken. Ooops…next time. Read More Sometimes I just wake up in the morning, with random ideas that have to be executed right away…or else. That is exactly what happened on Saturday morning. I was sitting in my bed thinking about what I would post on the blog this week, and for some reason I was really digging the idea of doing a red, white and black series. It might be cliche/overdone, but I still love this particular color combo. I always gravitate towards black and white pieces, so a pop of red usually makes an outfit for me. I went through my closet and realized Okay, so, I’m definitely not an “expert” on friends with benefits, but I’ve had a few situations in my life that have made me familiar with the subject. Anyway, these kinds of relationships have an expiration date. According to some really prestigious websites (I forgot the name of it) that do experiments on these things, a friends with benefits situation is not supposed to last more than 3 months. Or else the dreaded happens, and someone will get feelings or whatever. Well as the rebel that I am, I refused to believe this, and proceeded to have an on and MAJOR Fashion Tip: If you see a 40% off sign in the window of Gap, go in! That usually means you can get 40% off of sale items too. I normally don’t go for color, but when I saw this shirt, and it was less than $8, I couldn’t resist. Even though, we had a brief stint of arctic temperatures the last few days, I am happy to report it is back to being in the 80s! Whoo!! Most people probably don’t think fashion and food go together, but in my world, they are my two greatest loves. Thus, I have decided that it makes sense to start doing a regular column called, “What I Ate”. When it comes to food, I am pretty much down for anything from gourmet to gross (I am never above Taco Bell or Dominos). One of the greatest things about living in Austin is the food, so I am going to try to use these posts to highlight all the local spots. However, I can’t deny that I love a good meal I just wanted to check in and do a quick post today to say Happy Friday! I hope everyone has a fun filled weekend planned. Do something fabulous!! I am definitely looking forward to hanging out with some good friends this weekend. I have been turning everyone I know into my own personal photographer to do these outfit post. I know, its probably annoying, but I will love you all forever. Shout out and photo credit to Michele Anderson for taking these awesome pics. You probably did know that coming to visit me, would require work. THANK YOU!! When I was 17, I had my whole life planned out: I would go to college in New York, gallivant around the city during the week, and travel up to West Point on the weekends, where my high-school boy was spending the next five years of his life. In my perfect vision, I would show up in my fabulous Fall clothes, we would hang out, and then I would head back to my fabulous life in the city. It all seemed ideal, until it didn’t happen. I ended up going to college in Texas, and my boyfriend and I broke |
