Maybe I am biased because Katie is my bff, but I thought her Career Confidential answers were filled with such valuable gems that I decided to break it up into two parts (check out part 1 here). I just couldn’t bring myself to edit it down and risk the chance of missing some real advice. We are all trying to figure out how to balance all the things we love in life. In this week’s column, we chat with one of my best friends, Katie Amey! I couldn’t I know it is cliché: I have been trying to start this blog for quite a while now. I always had a million excuses for why I couldn’t: “I am too busy with real work”, “I don’t have time”, “It probably won’t get anywhere”…blah, blah, blah. One day, about a month ago, I said, “fuck it, it is time to do what I really want”. Thus, NeonNotebook was born! I spend a vast majority of my time on the Internet, and I have always felt like there wasn’t a one-stop destination for gen-y girls. There are fabulous fashion blogs, inspiring I don’t even have a real blog, and I already suck at being a blogger. I officially started writing this post in July 2012 (right before my 25th bday). Then, I made it my New Years Resolution to blog more, but that hasn’t worked out so well either. Better late than never seems to be my official motto. So now, as a one-third of the way through the year resolution, I am going to start recording my journey to world domination. The last 6 or 7 years have been a blur of the good, the bad and the terrifying. In |
