When I first started thinking about creating a blog, I had a hard time deciding what to focus on. Initially, NeonNotebook was only going to be a career blog. Then, I decided NO WAY; that is no fun. So, we introduced the other sections: fashion, lifestyle and pop culture.
Not to sound ridiculous, but I love fashion, so it seemed unnatural to leave that out of my blog. One of my favorite ways to destress after a long week is to spend Saturday afternoon bouncing around the local thrift stores. I am not talking about vintage stores, where everything is ridiculously expensive (who cares that it is from 1920?!), I am talking about dirty, gross thrift stores that smell bad. I swear you can find the best stuff!!
All of my most memorable pieces come from random thrift stores. Since it is a billion degrees outside everyday, I have become a big fan of skirts. Especially skirts with pleats. I have about 5 skirts that look the same as the one below, in various crazy patterns and colors. What is your favorite thrifted piece?
