What I Wore: New Client Meeting

I keep promising more fashion posts, and then it basically doesn’t happen. Why doesn’t it happen? 1) I was not born to be a model. I had a very short lived, awkward career trying to break into the world of “plus size” modeling (definitely a story for another time). I hate poising and I laugh when people take my pic. Yeah, thank god I am good at PR because my modeling career would have never worked out. 2) I love fashion, but I hate getting dressed. I have been this way my whole life…I would much rather get that extra 5 mins of sleep than put on make up or do my hair. I am a pretty lazy dresser on a day to day basis.

With that being said, I can’t let go of my secret dream to be a fashion blogger. I really do enjoy fashion, and so I want that to be part of this blog. I am making a promise that we will have at least one fashion post a week. WHOOO!

Just like my life in general, everything is a work in progress. I am pretty sure real fashion bloggers don’t post blurry pics with major red eye, but whatever. We will get better at this!

Earlier this week, I had a new client meeting, so I actually had to sorta get dressed. At the beginning, when I started fifteen media, I made a decision that I would always be casual. I don’t even own a real pair of work slacks because hello this isn’t 1980!! If I really have to dress up, I wear a dress. Luckily, Austin is pretty chill, and so it is fine to wear jeans to meet with new clients. It would actually almost be weirder if I really got dressed up.

I know I am going to be judged by the fashion snobs out there, but these jeans from American Eagle are the best jeans EVER!! They are stretchy, but not too stretchy!

Also, my dog doesn’t know it yet, but she is going to be a reoccurring model on this blog.

I wear a lot of black and white, so I have been on a mission lately to find cool jewelry. This necklace is from Art Basel in Miami. Since it has been raining here in Austin, I have worn these boots almost everyday this week. Thanks, Target, best purchase ever!
