Reflecting on 2014…

OMG, WTF I can’t believe it is December! Where did the year go?! Part of the reason for my December Denial has to be the weather. Thanksgiving weekend was the 70’s and it hasn’t gotten much colder since.

This year has been a whirlwind. When I think back to where I was in January to where I am now, it is crazy. I am a nostalgic person, so when I sat down to write this blog post about all that has happened I got a little teary eyed.

Not to sound corny or lame (okay this is really sappy), but reflecting on this year makes my heart overwhelmed with love. I sometimes know that I get wrapped up in the moment and can be short or not express gratitude enough, but I am seriously thankful for everyone in my life (both personal and work related). So, THANK YOU FOR BEING AWESOME! THANK YOU FOR READING THIS BLOG!

Here are some of the major highlights of the 2014…and here is to hoping that 2015 is just as good or even better:

Launching Glamtrepreneur. It is something I have wanted to do for some time, so to see it come to fruition was amazing.

Going to Europe. At the beginning of the year, my best friend and I went to London and Paris. The food, the sites, the people…oh and the shopping…all created memories that I will remember for a lifetime.

Speaking at The Lady Project Summit. When I boarded a plane back in April to head to Providence, RI I didn’t know what to expect. I had never even heard of The Lady Project. I am so happy that I went. Not only did I enjoy leading a workshop, I learned so much from the other amazing women at the conference and I met some awesome people.

Finding my confidence. If I can look back at 2014, I think this would be the theme of the entire year. When it comes to work and life in general, I finally have found my voice and am not as self-conscious about using it.

Taking a trip with the family. Sometimes I take it for granted, but something that I am extremely grateful for is how close my family is. Yes, sometimes we aren’t each other’s favorites, but at the end of the day we have fun together. This year my family went to Canada for a week, and it was a good time. It was nice to go to Montreal and Toronto because I have never been before.
