Last year alone, it was estimated Americans would spend $1 trillion on gifts, averaging about $400 per person. But, the question is, how do these holiday shoppers know what to look for? Your business deserves a piece of that puzzle.

Holiday gift guides are the place many people first look for gifts, and you want to be front and center when your customers are ready to spend money.

Even though it may officially be summer, your favorite magazines have already begun compiling their must-have gifts for their holiday gift guides, so now is the time to prepare.

In the workshop, I will teach all the tips and tricks to get your small business into the pages of top national publications.

Getting exposure in one of these holiday gift guides will help both drive sales and increase positive brand awareness. At the two-hour workshop, you’ll learn the steps to both create a great pitch and get it to the right person. The workshop will include:

  1. PREP: We will help you to figure out which of your products are most giftable.
  2. FIND: Half of the battle is finding the right contacts to pitch, so we will share our tips for what to look for. We will also hand out a cheat sheet with major national contacts.
  3. WRITE: Learn how to write short, concise pitches and subject lines that catch editors’ attentions. You will also learn about what images you need.
  4. FOLLOW UP: We will teach you how to follow up without annoying editors.

On top of this, you’ll also get time during the workshop to craft a perfect pitch and come up with a follow-up script, leaving you with more time to accomplish all the other things on your to-do list!
