Help Little Lanae and her Family

I haven’t been writing much lately, which also means I haven’t announced to the blogosphere that I’m pregnant. 21 weeks and it’s a boy! It’s fantastic, we’re thrilled! This new stage in my life, however, has given me new mama bear instincts and an appreciation and empathy for all the momma’s in my life.

Which is why I wanted to solicit some help from you all today. Another fellow milspouse, Nikki,  shared an unfortunate trial that some friends are going through. Their 2-year-old daughter, Lanae, is battling brain cancer.

Lanae was perfectly healthy up until a couple of months ago. This brain tumor that was found, seemed to come out of nowhere. With her parents both finishing up their college degrees along with traveling to Seattle to be with Lanae during her treatment, this is going to be a long, financially straining, uphill battle.

When she shared asking for anyone’s help, I couldn’t help but put myself in this other mother’s shoes – hoping and praying that people would open their hearts to help in anyway they can. I donated right away.

You can read Lanae’s full story and donate here.

She’s had a large portion of the tumor removed and doctors are seeing some positive results with chemo, but there is still so far to go. Please please please read her story, donate what you can and share. There are only 17 days left in her Give Forward campaign.

Thanks!
