Before you get your panties in a twist, let me clarify: I love babies and I love weddings. What I don’t love is when weddings and babies happen during the first 30 years of a person’s life. When I see Facebook acquaintances sharing nauseating (yet semi-adorable) pictures of these “grown up moments”, I take a second to mourn the loss of their 20s. (Side note: I am not trying to be mean. I am sure they think the same thing about me when I write about my empty career ambitions and drunken party nights). It boggles my mind: why would I know it is cliché: I have been trying to start this blog for quite a while now. I always had a million excuses for why I couldn’t: “I am too busy with real work”, “I don’t have time”, “It probably won’t get anywhere”…blah, blah, blah. One day, about a month ago, I said, “fuck it, it is time to do what I really want”. Thus, NeonNotebook was born! I spend a vast majority of my time on the Internet, and I have always felt like there wasn’t a one-stop destination for gen-y girls. There are fabulous fashion blogs, inspiring 
MAJOR guilty pleasure = Taylor Swift. Yes, I love her! Her song “22” has been my jam lately; I can’t get enough of it. Part of you feels an impending sense of doom: what will I do without a meal plan? where will I get guidance without office hours? what will I do without my parents credit card? Let’s be real the latter question is the Can I just say I am obsessed with Sheryl Sandberg’s new book/message, Lean In? This might be a lofty statement, but Sandberg’s “Lean In” Movement is the Seneca Falls Convention for Gen Y gals. She is like Elizabeth Cady Stanton with access to the Internet, and a great wardrobe. Back then we were fighting for voting equality, and today we are fighting for a fair chance at work. There is no doubt about it: she is a ROCKSTAR. It is sad, but true: women jeopardize themselves in the workplace before they even get started! I have been especially I don’t even have a real blog, and I already suck at being a blogger. I officially started writing this post in July 2012 (right before my 25th bday). Then, I made it my New Years Resolution to blog more, but that hasn’t worked out so well either. Better late than never seems to be my official motto. So now, as a one-third of the way through the year resolution, I am going to start recording my journey to world domination.
