Want to Become a SuperWoman? Incorporate These 3 Super Powers into Your Routine

I woke up this morning feeling a little bit like SuperWoman. On normal mornings, I press snooze a few dozen times, begrudgingly drag myself to the gym, and don’t really feel fully alive till I have consumed at least two very large cups of coffee. Today was different: I rolled out of bed as soon as my alarm went off, made it to the gym on time for my class, and now I am listening to Katy Perry’s “Roar” on repeat. I think all this Christmas cheer has gotten to me.

So, when I realized that I had scheduled Read More

6 Mistakes that Gen-Yers Make When It Comes to Online Reputation Management

I hate when people get on their soapbox about managing your online reputation, by being careful about what you post on social media, etc. We live in a world where the lines are very blurred. Isn’t over sharing the whole point of social media?

That being said, it is important to think twice before you post the wasted pics from Saturday night or send a compromising selfie to the guy you hooked up with last week. These things might seem harmless at the time, but they WILL come back to haunt you. You don’t want to lose an important opportunity

What I Ate: épicerie

épicerie ROCKS! I honestly don’t really know what else to say, other than, I love everything that I have tried on the menu. Not only is the food pretty stellar, the atmosphere is great too. If I ever owned a house, I would want it to look exactly like épicerie: hardwood floors, white wood cabinets, leather ceiling (YES! you heard right), brass/rose gold light fixtures. It is a bit too cold right now, but in the Spring/Summer, the outside patio is the best spot in town for a chill happy hour.

Where I Shopped: Leander Flea Market

My mission to decorate my new apartment with the most kitschy, random stuff ever took me on a little adventure to the flea market in Leander, a 20 minute drive from Austin.

Leander is stereotypical Texas: there are a lot of churches and an abundance of fields with cows. It is charming.

I decided to check it out because I noticed that some of the vendors were posting really cool pieces on Craigslist. I am glad I ventured out there because the Leander Flea Market is a wonderfully strange, yet awesome place.

Typically at a flea market, each

What I Wore: Cutoffs in the Winter?!?

Admittedly, It was WAYYYY too cold to be wearing this outfit. If it is 30 degrees outside, don’t wear cutoff shorts. But hello, this is Texas, and I am supposed to be able to shorts all year around.

IMG_1606These shorts are the only DIY project that I have ever successfully completed. I always wanted a good pair of cutoffs, but the ones they sell in stores are SO freakin’ short. No one wants to see that.

Thus, I decided to take a trip to Goodwill, find some mom jeans,

What I Ate: Tan My

After my previous post about pho, a few people recommended that I try Tan My.

So, last weekend, my aunt and I decided to have lunch there because it was another cold, rainy day in Austin.

Things I am Obsessed With…

I feel like my life is just starting to regain normalcy, after moving last week. I know, I am acting like I moved half way across the world, rather than just across the apartment complex, but still. I was so behind on work, and I am finally caught up! Whoo!

Over the past 10 days or so, there have been a few interesting articles on the web that have caught my attention:

1) Fact: I read the NY Post almost every morning. Why? Because they have entertaining stories, and being accurate is overrated. I was intrigued by this story, “Read More

What I Wore: Old Navy Coated Skinnies

Okay, I was pretty excited when Old Navy sent me these Coated-Wash Super Skinny Jeans. They are awesome, and in the last 2 weeks or so, I have worn them at least 5 times. I feel like they add a little bit of edge to any outfit.

The first time I wore them was on a random adventure into the country. Okay, it isn’t really the country because we were still in Austin, but with all the Fall foliage, I felt like I was miles away from the city.

Where I Shopped: Thrifty Chicks Vintage

I have been in the process of decorating my new apartment. I am determined to not buy anything from Ikea! I want to actually take the time to find unique, cool pieces. I have been spending an obscene amount of time scouring Craigslist, going to all my favorite vintage/thrift stores and browsing Etsy. I realized that if you ever want to sell something for way more than it is actually worth, just say it is vintage. So annoying.

Luckily, a few months ago, I stumbled upon Thrifty Chicks Vintage, and ever since it has been one of my

What I Wore: Fair Isle Sweater

I am not a big drinker. In fact, I rarely have any type of alcohol. I don’t really have a reason for why. It is just as I get older, I have just become really lame. Not to mention, hangovers at 26 are beyond brutal. However, I made a rule for myself that I have to get drunk once every 6-8 weeks because, look, I am not 90. I am still young, and let’s be real: the crazy nights that you reminisce about about with friends for years usually involve some alcohol.

The point of that whole spiel was to
