SoundSpace: Refugees– Check out The Blanton Museum of Art’s newest installation of SoundSpace, their acclaimed music series. This new installation will feature live musical performances in the museum in galleries that specifically pertain to the experience of refugees. Tickets cost $5-$9.

The Bullock Texas State History Museum presents High Noon Talk: Surf Texas– Photographer Kenny Braun will discuss his new book of photos titled “Surf Texas.” Braun will give the insight he learned from following surfers in the state of Texas, one of the top six surfing states in the nation. Admission is free.

ATX Television Festival– If you’re interested in the entertainment industry, this is the event for you! This weekend-long festival will feature tons of panel discussions and appearances with some of your favorite celebrities (Mandy Moore, Will Ferrell and Lisa Kudrow to name a few), writers and producers from all the shows you know and love. Austin Young Chamber presents 9th Annual Casino Social– Get together with over 400 other young professionals at this fundraiser to help the Austin Young Chamber continue their efforts. Austin Chamber Music Center presents The Blue Bash– Get dressed up and support the Austin Chamber Music Center at this swanky evening event. Guests will learn about music education, hear music from award-wining musicians and enjoy a three-course dinner. Ticket purchase required.
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 2017 Man & Woman of the Year Grand Finale Celebration– Be a part of this nationwide event which recognizes Austinites who have dedicated themselves to raising money and awareness for leukemia and lymphoma. Whoever raises the most money will be named the top man and woman of the year at this celebration. The event also features a silent auction. Ticket purchase required.
