With proceeds going to Dress for Success Austin, this runway show at Nordstrom in the Domain will also feature light bites and refreshments, and give attendees an opportunity to earn triple points and shop before the department store normally opens.

The Bullock Texas State History Museum presents B Movies and Bad History: Slavery on the Silver Screen– As part of the exhibit Purchased Lives: The American Slave Trade from 1808-1865, The Bullock museum invites everyone to observe how slavery has been portrayed on screen. Join historians and media experts to take a look and discuss the portrayal of slavery in media.

TFABash2017– Head to Capital Factory all day to get some work done and also celebrate the 2nd birthday of the Texas Freelance Association. The event features an opportunity to network with others, a taco truck and beer on tap.
The Nature Conservancy presents Adventures on the Wild River– Join the Nature Conservancy for their annual luncheon, which will feature award-winning National Geographic photographer Pete McBride. McBride will discuss his travels across 65 different countries and share some stories about his life as a photographer and writer. Tickets required.

Austin Design House Pop Up Show– Austin Design House, a local interior decorating company, will present their first ever pop-up show this Thursday. Guests can check out their custom pillows, art and fabrics and enjoy refreshments.
Austin Black Pride 2017– Thursday kicks off this weekend long festival celebrating Austin’s black LGTBQ community. On Thursday, the festival will get started with its Pink Elephant Hip Hop Music Festival, which features 25 of the most renowned LGBTQ artists.

Art City Austin– Check out Austin’s three-day art festival, which turns 67 this year. This event combines both an art festival and art fair, with 25 art galleries and 125 self-represented artists from across the country.
The Colorado River Alliance presents Cocktails For The Colorado– Come celebrate one of Austin’s most valuable natural resources, the Texas Colorado River. This free event will feature cocktails and food, and a live auction will raise money for the Colorado River Alliance.

Texas Veg Fest– This one-day event celebrates those who have adopted a plant-based lifestyle. Entrance is free, and attendees will have the opportunity to attend educational lectures, try food and craft beer, and learn more about local plant-based food vendors
Manos de Cristo presents The Pearly White Ball– Raise money for low cost dental, adult education and emergency food and clothing relief programs at this casino-night themed fundraiser. Guests can participate in a silent auction and play casino games while enjoying live music and food. Tickets required.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas presents 28th Annual Bandana Ball– Support the Ronald McDonald House while hanging out in a casual setting. Taking place at Wild Onion Ranch, this fundraiser will include live music, dinner and cocktails outdoors and both a silent and live auction. Tickets required.
