Firefly Fund Inaugural Event– The Firefly Fund raises money and awareness for rare neurodegenerative genetic diseases that affect children and currently have no cure. Join the group for their first big event at the ACL Live theater with special guests like Dan Rather and mayor Steve Adler.  Tickets required.

Bullock Texas State History Museum presents High Noon Talk: Tomlinson Hill– This casual lunch time lecture, which occurs the first Wednesday of each month, will feature the story of two families in Central Texas, one black and one white, that share the same last name. Author of Tomlinson Hill Chris Tomlinson will discuss the research and inspiration behind the book.

Austin Inno presents Tech Madness– Austin Inno is making the Austin tech companies compete head-to-head. Join them Thursday evening as 64 of Austin’s leading tech companies compete bracket-style based around one question: Which local tech company do you think will be the most valuable in the next five years? The first round starts March 2.

Champions School of Real Estate presents Keynote 2017 featuring Barbara Corcoran–  Join star of Shark Tank Barbara Corcoran for an event with Champions School of Real Estate. Speaking before Corcoran is Logan Stout, a motivational speaker and lifelong entrepreneur. The event will also feature an opportunity to network with others in the Austin business community. Conscious Media Festival– Attend the first day of this weekend-long festival, which serves as a launching pad for new creative content, media presentations and education. The festival has venues all around the city, from the Hotel Ella to the AT&T Executive Conference Center, and eight panel discussions.

Art on 5th Gallery presents “The Art of Dr. Seuss” opening reception– This free event will take a look at how famed children’s author Theodor Seuss Geisel. The exhibit will not just look at his famous children’s books, but also examine Geisel’s career as a political cartoonist, advertisement illustrator, and others.
