Nothing beats finishing a long day at work then meeting up with friends or co-workers for dinner and drinks. Luckily, Austin is full of fabulous, creative restaurants. But which one has the best happy hour deals? Here are our five favorite Austin happy hour locations.
- Clark’s Oyster Bar
Even if you don’t like oysters, Clark’s happy hour menu is hard to beat. Every day from 3-6 p.m. the seafood restaurant has some kind of special. On weekdays, try their famous burger at half price with a $5 martini. On weekends, enjoy half-off wine bottles. - Uchi and Uchiko
Since a trip to Uchi or its sister Uchiko may not be in the cards, there’s a way to sample your favorites from the menu at a fraction of the cost. Daily, Uchi and Uchiko have “Sake Social Hour,” which allows visitors to order some of the best items of the menu. But get there early- the timing is only 5-^:30 p.m. and it fills up fast. - Salty Sow
At Salty Sow’s happy hour, all you need is $5. Signature sips like their blood orange margarita, and menu items such as their duck-fat French fries, are all on the daily happy hour menu for only $5. Happy hour runs from 4:30-6:30 everyday, and the restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. - Alcomar
There’s nothing Texans like more than margaritas, so we’re big fans of one of Austin’s newer restaurants, which features lots of margaritas on their daily happy hour menu. Running from 3-6 p.m., Alcomar’s happy hour menu also offers reduced price cocktails, like their sangria, and appetizers such as queso flameado and ceviche verde. - Parkside
For those of who want to stay downtown, Parkside on 6th street offers a great happy hour. On Mondays-Friday from 5-6:30, get cocktails, beer, and bar menu snacks for half off. And if you really love martinis, try Parkside on Monday to get a specialty martini at half price!
Be sure to try one of these hotspots the next time you and your friends are looking to meet-up after work.
