Where I Shopped: Thrifty Chicks Vintage

I have been in the process of decorating my new apartment. I am determined to not buy anything from Ikea! I want to actually take the time to find unique, cool pieces. I have been spending an obscene amount of time scouring Craigslist, going to all my favorite vintage/thrift stores and browsing Etsy. I realized that if you ever want to sell something for way more than it is actually worth, just say it is vintage. So annoying.

Luckily, a few months ago, I stumbled upon Thrifty Chicks Vintage, and ever since it has been one of my favorite spots in Austin. They have good vintage pieces for pretty affordable prices (and the owner is super nice). Major jackpot! I decided to stop in yesterday to see what I could find for my new apartment.

IMG_1531Yes, sorry, I know my reflection is in this picture.

IMG_1533If your grandma was a hoarder, this is probably what her house would have looked like. Every time I go to Thrifty Chicks, I always have to walk through twice to make sure I didn’t miss anything.

IMG_1545I didn’t buy this dog because I wasn’t sure where I would put it, but now that I am looking at this picture, I kinda want to go back and get it!

IMG_1654This is the table I got yesterday. It is pretty rad, and overall in great condition.

  • dago just did not understand my need to walk through twice. there are so many fun, beautiful things in there! once, i almost bought a wedding dress because it was perfect and like…50 bucks? i will probably always regret not buying it, even if dago would have thought i was crazy.
