3 Things I Wished I Had Known In My 20s: Bogumila Sobiczewska

st_1768_rgbWhen I travel, there are two things that I always want to do: eat and shop. It is pretty easy to find information about all the best local restaurants, but it can be challenging to find boutiques and local shopping spots. In May of this year, Bogumila Sobiczewska came up with a solution to the latter problem in the form of a website called, ShopTrotter!

The navigational shopping site makes shopping trips stress-free by finding the stores you would be most interested in. Even better the website (and soon to be app) provides a customized route to the store. Right now, ShopTrotter features route-planning capabilities for over 80 cities worldwide! My credit cards won’t be happy, but I can’t wait to test this out when I go to London & Paris is a few months!

We got to sit down with the mother of 3, turned entrepreneur, to get the scoop on what she wishes she had known in her 20s. Here is what she had to say:

1. I wish I had known that I can do anything! You don’t have to settle for one single career path in life. We change constantly, and it’s okay to make mistakes. At least we learn from those experiences, which are priceless.

2. I wish I had known that pleasing everybody around me – other than myself – was the wrong idea. I should’ve had more self-confidence.

3. I wish I had known that friends made during school are the most honest and selfless. Once I entered the “adult” world and started focusing on my career, I let many of those ties fade away. As a result, it took me another 20 years to make new fond friends!
